WASHINGTON, D.C. – SoundExchange
SoundExchange, the non-profit performance rights organization which collects and distributes digital performance royalties, filed a proposal with the Copyright Royalty Board (CRB) this week, stating its case for continued fair royalty rates as the CRB convenes to set rates for the 2011-2015 period. The proposal, one of many filed by various parties, details the rates and terms SoundExchange believes performers and copyright holders should be paid when their recordings are used by webcasters and digital streaming services during those years.
