SXSW showcases artists and labels have unclaimed royalties at SoundExchange- do you?

March 2nd

                SoundExchange, the non-profit performance rights organization, has released this list of artists  showcasing at South By Southwest (SXSW) this month who are owed digital performance royalties, but have not registered to receive them. Labels and copyright holders associated with these artists also have significant amounts of unclaimed royalties.  SoundExchange is required by law to collect these royalties on behalf of artists and copyright holders (like ASCAP, BMI and SESAC do for songwriters and publishers), but can’t send out the checks without the necessary information. If you’re a recording artist or you own rights to sound recordings, SoundExchange may have money waiting for you, too!
