A hip-hop and independent rap phenom in his own right, artist Zumbi Zoom is now the celebrated MC of Bay Area group Zion I (read: Zion – Eye). With dozens of releases, a series of mix tapes, six albums and innumerable collaborations, Zumbi knows the ins and outs of the independent music scene. That’s why, when he stopped by our booth at South By Southwest, he had some simple advice to offer his fellow creators:
