Most-Wanted Monday: A tribute to the starving artist

Testimonial Tuesday: The Stats Say It All: Streaming Royalties Topped Subscriptions in 2010
May 3rdToday’s testimonial comes straight from the newswire. The Associated Press reported this week that digital performance royalties, like those collected and distributed by SoundExchange, grew 60 percent during 2010, to nearly $250 Million. For the first time, streaming royalties are surpassing their subscription counterparts, and SoundExchangers are reaping the rewards.
The statistics show that SoundExchange’s contributions to industry income continue to grow, while sales and paid subscription services remain relatively constant.
