SoundExchange has been able to successfully negotiate a number of agreements with other performance rights organizations around the world, in order to help American performers and sound recording copyright owners receive payment when their sound recordings are performed abroad. If you have signed the SoundExchange Membership Agreement then you may be entitled to foreign royalties. Listed below are those organizations we currently have agreements with. We work continually to expand this list to include additional territories which, provided you have signed the Membership Agreement, we will automatically collect and distribute to you unless you opt out of that territory.

A Word About International Copyright Treaties: |
The protection and payment of royalties overseas for U.S. performers and copyright owners is dictated in part by international copyright treaties such as the Rome Convention and the WIPO Performers and Phonograms Treaty. Both the operation of these treaties, and how they are implemented in various territories, may impact the extent to which you may be entitled, as a U.S. performer or copyright owner, to royalty payments arising from overseas activities.
