1Eligible Services

 

 

This alternative rate structure was negotiated under the terms of the 2008 Webcaster Settlement Act, and is intended to cover sound recordings streamed over the Internet by specifically-identified “covered entities”, including CPB-qualified stations, NPR member stations and National Federation of Community Broadcasters (NFCB) participant member stations (along with NPR, American Public Media, Public Radio International and the Public Radio Exchange) between 2005 and 2010.

Service providers who believe they may be eligible for this agreement should contact the Corporation for Public Broadcasting or NPR.

2Terms

 

 

Services governed by these terms will have their royalty liability covered by a single lump sum payment.

Services will be required to supply reporting in accordance with regulations. Consolidated reporting services are available through Public Interactive.

5Opting In

 

 

Affiliated entities who believe they may be eligible for this agreement should contact the Corporation for Public Broadcasting or NPR. Other services are not permitted to opt in to these terms.

6Compliance

 

 

Services governed by these terms must provide all monthly statements of account and payments, and reports of use to SoundExchange as required by law.
