Emmy-nominated writer and stand-up comedian Deon Cole recently visited the SoundExchange office and sat down for a wide ranging conversation with the staff. He discussed his start as a stand-up comedian, issues in his hometown of Chicago and the impact of the ABC comedy, black-ish on which he has a recurring role as Charlie Telphy. In addition to working as an actor on the Emmy-nominated show, Cole keeps a busy schedule as a writer for Conan and an actor on the TBS series Angie Tribeca among other projects.
