Ed Sheeran, Bazzi Top SoundExchange 2018 Charts

By William Glanz

Ed Sheeran had a “Perfect” year.

Our 2018 charts are out, and Sheeran earned the top spot on “Digital Radio’s Top 20 Streamed Tracks” chart with the romantic balled “Perfect,” from his third album.

Sheeran landed in first this year after finishing second on our most streamed tracks in 2017 with “Shape of You.” The song finished at #19 on this year’s chart.

Bazzi also had quite a year, finishing 2018 as the “Top Breakout Artist.”

The rising pop newcomer (whose full name is Andrew Bazzi) began getting attention with the release of “Mine” in October 2017. Then he released his debut album, Cosmic. He also opened for Camila Cabello earlier this year on select dates during her Never Be the Same tour and remixed his single, “Beautiful,” with Cabello. Bazzi dropped the remixed version of “Beautiful” in August.

No wonder Bazzi tops our “Top Breakout Artists” of the year chart.

Congrats to Ed and Bazzi!
