Position Summary

Lead, develop and execute event and experiential strategies that create “WOW” experiences amongst creators while driving deep and meaningful engagement and loyalty.

Essential Functions

  • Lead, project plan and execute complex events that build upon SoundExchange’s core values and strength and reach Creators in a direct and meaningful way
  • Ideate and create unique branded events, proprietary experiences and stunts that are fresh, unique, relevant and drive Brand affinity
  • Drive entire project lifecycle- event vision, concept, budgets, vendor, and sponsorship negotiation, creative, execution, promotion plans and report back summaries
  • Create and manage detailed project plans, drive complex timelines, and ensure stakeholders are briefed and aware of deadlines and deliverables
  • Create, manage, and administer event logistics, including registration, venue contracts, show flow, entertainment
  • Liaison with Industry Engagement group and Communications to book artist talent and industry speakers
  • Work with outside agency to develop paid media plans, execute media buying, across paid social, search, print, digital radio, Out of Home
  • Manage creative asset development: creative briefs, execute assets, ensure accuracy, provide final sign off
  • Collaborate with Communications team and develop organic strategies to build local audiences and extend the reach of SoundExchange events
  • Identify and propose strategic partnerships to amplify events and activations.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities (KSAs)

  • Knack for creative and out of the box campaign ideation
  • B2B and B2C event marketing experience and project ownership
  • Ability to develop ‘360 Marketing plans to promote the event
  • Paid digital and social media experience
  • Ability to multi-task in a high-pressured environment.
  • Experience in the digital music/entertainment space.
  • PowerPoint presentation skills
  • Asana project management skills
  • Adobe Creative Cloud experience preferred

Required Education, Certifications/ Licenses, Related Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required (or equivalent experience)
  • Seven+ years of event marketing/agency experience

ADA Specifications

  • The person in this role must be able to position him/herself (ex: kneel, crawl, crouch down) to fulfill the essential functions of the role less than half the time
  • The person in this position must be able to maneuver (lift, move, carry, slide, etc.) 15 – 40 lbs.

Travel Requirements

  • This position requires overnight domestic travel 50 – 75% of the time
  • If hired remote, this person is expected to travel to the Washington DC corporate office as needed (3-4 times per year).
