SoundExchange has collection agreements with counterpart organizations in countries around the world. These agreements allow us to collect and pay the artist and right holders royalties when their music is played in those countries.
We do not charge a fee for collecting international royalties. Where applicable, only U.S. taxes will be withheld from foreign royalty payments.
You must be a SoundExchange member and complete an International Mandate to take advantage of this international collection service. We are constantly adding new agreements, increasing the collection of international royalties for you. Become a member now.

SoundExchange works with other international organizations to improve the accuracy and sharing of data related to the use of your recordings around the world. This is critical to ensuring that your royalties are paid to you and not someone else. In addition, SoundExchange works with the Societies’ Council for the Collective Management of Performers’ Rights (SCAPR), the international organization dedicated to improving the exchange of royalties owed to artists. Our involvement with SCAPR ensures that our members are well-represented on topics affecting their international royalties.
