OUR CULTURE PIECE BY PIECE

We believe culture isn’t defined by what we say—it’s reflected in how we collaborate, support one another, and create space for every voice to be heard. Think of our culture as a jigsaw puzzle: it isn’t complete until every piece is placed. Every piece matters—from the four corners to the center—and each one is connected. Through a spirit of teamwork that empowers, we take care of one another and build an inclusive, welcoming environment where every employee plays a meaningful role and both our people and the creators we serve can thrive.

HEAR FROM OUR EMPLOYEES

What’s kept you at
SoundExchange for so long?

My experience at SoundExchange has been really rewarding, largely because the company truly invests in its people both professionally and personally.

— Curtis Washington, Senior Manager, Technical Product

What’s one word to describe the culture/work environment?

Community. One thing that stands out at SoundExchange is that all of the people here, no matter our individual backgrounds, show up for each other as a team and do our best to be great at our roles. We have an office culture that is not forced or rigid, and it makes it easy to find your place as a piece in this much larger puzzle.

— Jenny Garcia, Bilingual Specialist, Customer Resolutions

What initially attracted you to join SoundExchange?

I joined SoundExchange in 2016, a couple years after graduating college. Streaming was still relatively new, and the music industry was in the early stages of recovery from the collapse of physical recorded music sales. I wanted to help make the music industry sustainable for artists and saw SoundExchange as the perfect place to build a career doing just that.

— Luke Malley, Team Lead, Licensing and Enforcement

Which SoundExchange value most resonates with you?

Teamwork that Empowers resonates with me the most. I strongly believe the best results come from creating environments where people feel supported, trusted, included, and empowered to contribute ideas and lead. As a leader, one of the most rewarding parts of my role is helping teams grow, navigate change, and succeed together.

— Monica Isley, VP, Customer Services
